After five weeks of attacks from the opposition, Haiti’s Senate president Rodolphe Sylvestre called on Haiti’s prime minister to resign Thursday.
FOX’s Matt Finn reports in this ‘Tragedy in Haiti’:
Hurricane season has been a disaster for Haiti. Just the slightest hurricane can create severe flooding or outright destruction.
In this context the eruption of the Mount Enniemes volcano earlier this month has sent a cloud of gas and ash tens of miles into the air, forcing the government to move a number of neighborhoods in the southwest to a new area a high wall had to be built.
But officials say they are prepared for any response if the volcano erupts again.
Meantime in Haiti the opposition will not give up their battle to oust the current prime minister, Violette Jeanty, suggesting he is not able to steer Haiti out of crisis.
In Haiti, Matt Finn, FOX News.
