The latest from the ownership group, including PPR:
NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL ON RECENT:
“We’re continuing our current business with the allegations from the FBI investigation. We’re letting that process play out, but nothing further to report. The NFL is working cooperatively and strictly within the bounds of the FBI and will not be commenting on this matter.”
Statement from KZRG CEO Phil Anschutz today:
“There will be no additional cooperation in our continuing effort to protect the interests of our business and staff. We respect Commissioner Goodell, but we will not continue to work with him to conduct business in any way that will jeopardize KZRG’s business and make it vulnerable to NFL regulation. We have an exciting future under a new ownership team and stadium, and we will have no further contact with Mr. Goodell. We will continue to cooperate fully with the FBI.”
Statement from NFLPA:
NFLPA vice president Alex Alves:
“The NFLPA and KZRG welcome the cooperation of the FBI and work cooperatively with them to ensure that KZRG complies with its obligations under NFL and FTC agreements. We will also cooperate fully with any new request for information from the NFL or FTC.”
Jerry Jones:
“This investigation is merely a second round of sound bites, and it will have no effect whatsoever on the trust or confidence in ownership groups or their representatives in the NFL,” Jones said. “We have worked closely and collaboratively with the NFL in conducting our business affairs and we will continue to do so in the future.”
