Some people don’t care to be part of the ‘happy’ options when buying housing in their area

While much of the area’s conversation in recent years has centered on land development and growth and congestion, it appears that some area residents are also interested in slowing down at a few of the many affordable housing developments proposed for their communities.

When people are unwilling to be “lucky numbers” for different development projects, or if their own family already has one of the townhouses they’d like to own and sell, the choice of moving to a different community and the subsequent affordability considerations that come with it can become an all-or-nothing deal. And the middle ground—meaning finding a community where affordable housing is a part of the mix—can be especially challenging.
